As we prepare to move away from Eugene, I've had several moments where the tears are just a little closer to the surface than normal. One of these moments came when our pastor (& friend), Debbie Pitney, came over to our apartment for one of her massages (I've been massaging her for the past few months), and when I opened the door to greet her she presented me with this handmade quilt. She is an avid quilter, and she made this quilt especially for Brian and I to "help keep us warm in Juneau." We were so touched, and think it's absolutely beautiful. Knowing that she made it for us makes it extra special...such a kind and thoughtful gift from a kind & thoughtful woman.
